Berry & Nut Porridge

A healthy porridge recipe packed with essential vitamins, protein and antioxydants.






INGREDIENTS:

  • 40g jumbo oats

  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 200 ml unsweetened almond milk

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp runny honey or maple syrup

  • 40g frozen berries

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 2 pecan nuts

  • 30g fresh berries ( cherries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)

  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt (to serve)






METHOD: 

  1. Put the porridge oats and protein powder into a pan at low heat. Mix well.

  2. Add the almond milk, cinnamon and honey.

  3. Cook gently for 5 minutes, stirring, until the oats are creamy and cooked.

  4. Stir in the frozen berries and cook for another 2 minutes or until warmed through

  5. Mix in the almond butter, spoon into bowls and top with chopped pecan nuts, fresh berries and Greek yogurt.
